Baby Products

Favorite baby products, baby products, baby list
When I first starting registering for baby products I had no idea where to start! I am the first in my family, and friends to have a baby so I had no one to go to for advice. So I turned to the internet. I read blog after blog and watched hours of youtube videos to figure out what I should register for. Here is my list of "Must Haves" stay tuned for the things I registered for that we have never used!
1. Wubbanub
This pacifier is a favorite for a few reasons. Its super easy to find in the middle of the night, and there is no right side up (those are impossible when your super groggy). James adores the stuffed animal, now that he is more grabby he loves playing with the animal. He also can put it back in his own mouth!

2. Swing
When we registered for seats we didn't get any that moved on their own. We ended up getting the momaroo after 6 weeks and it has been great! I really wished we got it early on. You may not want to pay for the momaroo, but get some sort of swing that you don't have to move yourself. It will help put the baby to sleep early on.

3. Diaper Genie
A must in our book. We have a dog so we need a trashcan that keeps the diapers out of his reach and away from his scent lol. There have only been two days that I have actually been able to smell dirty diapers in James' room, for the most part it locks away the odor, and its easy to use and refill!

4. Music Player
Music is a must for us. James loves loves loves music! We have a record player in his room and flip on records when he is being changed. Any music player would work but it is fun to buy kids records for his collection. They have books on records too which will be really fun when he's a little older!

5. Car seat - stroller combo
We originally got a car seat before a stroller and so I was thinking of just getting a basic stroller, nothing fancy. I figured I wouldn't use a stroller that a car seat clipped into very often anyways. But in the end we got a stroller that our carseat could snap into and it is the best thing ever!! It is sooo easy to use, especially when you need to run into a store. I would suggest a combo over separates, in maybe pricy but you won't regret it!

Babies First Apps

When James was really little he used to love car rides! He loved being strapped into his car seat and he would fall asleep as soon as the car started moving. But recently he loathes them, he will just scream and scream until the car stops. So I was desperately searching online the other day on ways to help him not cry in the car and I came across someone saying something about how movies help their baby not cry in the car, so I figured I would do some searching and see if I could find an ipad app with free kids movies - it seriously helps!!

Baby apps, favorite apps for baby

Since he loved the movie app so much I decided to find a few others to keep him content in the car. Now when he cries I hand him my phone and he immediately stops!!

So here are the apps we currently use in rotation:

The rattles are so fun, they move when you touch them, it plays music and vibrates. You can even adjust the time between each version so your baby doesn't get bored, these apps mesmerizes James.

The nursery rhymes are great because you can download the mini videos and they can be played offline. They are a bit cheesy, nothing quite like a bear singing "blood on your face, you big disgrace!" But the baby loves it!

Its funny how modern technology can help with things like a baby crying in the car. How did our parents ever deal?! LOL!

Do you have apps you use with your kids? What are your favorites?

Just You and Me

Just you and me.
Our post nursing times are my favorite, James almost always cat naps after eating. This is prime cuddle time, after being at work all day I look forward to quality "mommy and me" time. This kid and his cuddles, I can't get enough.
