One of my biggest goals for this summer is to get fit! I have been pinning all different workouts and I try to get out for a walk, yard work, a run as often as I can.
In December we signed up for Door-to-Door Organics and have been trying to eat about 80% organic food, even snacks. I had been reading a lot about different diets and I didn't want to go full Paleo because I like cheese lol, but clean eating seemed to fit our lifestyle so we thought we would give it a try. I realized a huge difference in my health, energy and just all around mood within a month! After about three months of eating all organic I hopped on the scale and realized I had lost close to 10lbs!! No exercise just eating good food. This made me realize that I can in fact loose weight and extra exercise will help get me to my ideal weight!
I've always wanted to try an ab belt. I was contacted a few weeks ago about giving The Flex Belt a shot and letting my readers know how it worked. I thought about it and although it isn't related directly to fashion, I thought you guys would get a kick out of my experience and really Id love to rock a crop top in August with some killer abs :)
So What is it Exactly?

muscles. It is a stretchy belt with velcro ends that you wrap around you stomach, it is actually quite comfortable!
How Does it Work?
The belt has 3 gel pads that cover the
central abdominal and external obliques. The pads on the belt stimulate the nerves that make your muscles contract and relax. It is pretty amazing actually, you can watch your stomach contract and the relax similar to the way it does when you do sit ups.
What Does it Feel Like?
This is the best, because I honestly think it is a little different for everyone! When it makes my stomach contract I can feel it but it doesn't hurt, its like a pleasant muscle contraction. Versus when I do sit ups it just hurts! Some say it tickles a bit, but I did not get that. When I first described it to my husband I said it feels like a message chair for your stomach! I really love the feeling of it. When you start to increase the intensity its not as pleasant because its a work out, but it is also really refreshing!
When/Where do I use it?
When I first got this I was really unsure of the best time to use it. As I started to get used to it though I realized there are a lot of times through out the day to use this. They say to start sitting down for your first few times, and that's easy you can watch tv and work out! I've used it while I cook dinner, which is my personal favorite because I am double tasking. I've also strapped it on before taking the dog for a walk, I really enjoyed using it while walk because it helped stretch my muscles while they were being toned. But really you could use it anywhere...except in the car, id avoid that lol.
Did it Work for Me?
Honestly, at first I thought it was a little gimmicky, but I have noticed a difference! I don't use it regularly enough, which you should to get the best results, but since I started using it I have noticed my core is stronger. I feel like my abs have become a little more defined. I am working hard to get it to be super noticeable so you guys can see how well this really works!
Would I Suggest it?
Yes! I honestly think it is great! If you have a busy schedule and hate other ab exercises, like me, this is an amazing solution. It is also suggested for people that have back problems and trouble doing situps/crunches. Just read the tons of customer reviews, you will be sold! If used as directed I'm sure you will see some type of results!
