Friday Shopping

It's Friday. I thought it would never come!

It has been a long week. Our road is under construction so we have been woken up every morning early to the house shaking. Not fun. And last night the fire alarm went off for 2 seconds, huh??

Can't wait for this weekend. The hubs is djing a wedding in Lansing so we get a "mini" vacation and possibly hitting up Urban Outfitters!!!

I won a few more gift cards this week so I am doing some online shopping this weekend. Also there are a lot of sales, Gap and Asos are my favorite!!

Pretty in Pink

I got pink capris!

Not sure how I feel about them though.

I've never really been a fan but I thought they were more modest then shorts so I could wear them to work.

So I paired it with a chambray shirt which I feel like I've seen on many blogs. A quick google search came up with theses (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)

I originally wore them with the chambray shirt tucked in. Then I took pictures and I thought it looked sooo dumb! So I tried it un-tucked (hence the wrinkles I would have ironed it if this was my original plan) Not sure about this either.

I need advice. What do you like better? Or should I call this outfit a "miss"?

What else do you wear with pink capris? Any inspiration for me?

Date Night

Saturday night was date night!

We had so fun, we haven't been out just us two in such a long time!

We made a nice dinner, hung out on the porch then headed down the street to the local bar for some wine!

It was hot, like always so I had a hard time choosing what to wear but I wanted to get sort of dressed up.

I went with my favorite Gap shirt, with a little sparkle and some white jeans.

If your married or dating date nights are a must. You don't realize how much of a routine you get into during the week but when you go out together you get to remove yourselves from all distractions and just have fun. It is great! I wish we had more us time but we stay busy :)

sorry about the pics it was late so they had to be taken inside. When we get a house I am making a "studio" for better pictures, can't wait!!

Summer Breeze

It is so hard to decide what to wear when it is hot out!

My go to? Light pants and a flowy shirt!

After wearing this outfit and taking pictures of it I wasn't in love, its not perfect, but it was comfortable ;)

90's Floral

Summer Saturdays are the Best!

I love not having anything to do and just hanging out!

This weekend we pretty much lounged around and caught up on some needed things.

I am in love with these floral keds. I actually got them at a thrift store a long time ago and now that floral is back it I wear them all the time!! I swear they are the original 90's keds!!

I also just got a new Oasap necklace and I am lovin it! It so delicate and cute and pairs well with everything!

High Five for Summer!

This week has been just an average but a good week! I love looking back and making sure I always recognize the good things in life, even if they are small.

1. We may be putting an offer in on a house today! This is try number 4 so I don't want to get my hopes up but it was a really nice house. Wish us luck!

2. Camp Shine was this week! My husband is the children's ministries director at our church and he planned a fun night for the kids this week, there will be 3 this summer. This was in place of vbs and something new, but it went off without a hitch! And it was so fun and the kids were soooo cute!

3. I got my new Daisy Rae chevron shirt in the mail...it is love at first sight ;) it is such an adorable shirt! One left, snatch it up! Go Here

4.  The Weather! It has been sooo hot yet sooo nice I can't complain! I love spending every night on the porch!

5. Season Finale of The Killing. I am kind of sad about this, this show is so good and we got hooked because of Netflix (they have the first season) but now the 2nd just finished and they don't know if they will renew! But I am also happy because the best part of the summer is there are no good shows on tv so I can enjoy being outside! lol I know its kinda weird!
