House Eye Candy

It's official the hubs and I are house hunting!!

We are scheduling time to walk through some this week, I am beyond excited!

Now I have a motivation to pinterest :)

Check out some of my favorite future home pins!

1. Might be a little too funky! but something fun to think about.

2. I would never paint over hardwood floors but this would be cute on a screened in back porch!

3. This is genius! Hide the tv amidst the art, especially if we don't have a family room!

4. Lovin this kitchen storage!

5. If I end up with the nasty subway tile in my bathroom I am totally painting a fun color on the wall!

6. The hubs doesn't like this one but I do think it would be really fun for a half bath!

Pinterest can be bad news! Buuuut I can't wait to decorate a house!

Shrimp Scampi

Shrimp Scampi is my go to meal!

It is so easy to make and so good!

I kinda wing mine and combine a bunch of recipes I have made before.

Ingredients
1/2 Stick of Butter
1/4 cup of Orange Juice
3 TBSP of Lemon Juice
3 Cloves Garlic Minced
Pasta of your choice (angel hair or penne work best)
1/2 cup Shrimp
Parmesan Cheese

Directions
Cook your pasta according to the directions on the box

Meanwhile put your butter and garlic in a pan and cook until garlic is fragrant

Add the Lemon Juice and Orange juice and cook till boiling

Add shrimp. If you use precooked shrimp don't cook them too long.

Sprinkle Parmesan Cheese into the Sauce to thicken it and to taste

Drain your pasta and add to sauce pan and combine with sauce and shrimp

*You can also add some green beans in with your pasta to cook*

Enjoy!

Floral Jeans: the Floral Trend

I gave in and got myself a pair of floral jeans!

I love them!

There are ton of pinterest inspiration so I am excited to try and wear these jeans with different tops!

I paired my floral jeans with a feminine cream top but ended up putting on a jacket because it was freezing! I didn't intend on keeping the jacket on but I kinda like the look!

What do you guys think?

Blog Remodel

This weekend and weekends to come I am going to be slowly working on my own blog design!

I by no means have any skill in this arena but my hubs agreed to help with the artistic part.

Hopefully sometime in the future I can have a layout that is all my own!

Below are some of my favorite headers for a little inspiration :)

If you have any tips or tricks let me know!!

How do you see my blog layout? Polkadots, Chevron, Vintage, Classy?? I have no idea!

Blue for Leopard Print

I loved wearing this outfit last week!
So comfortable and I don't wear this shirt nearly enough.
I also bought this necklace in chicago at Forever 21 and it didn't go with as much as I had hoped because of how low the chains hang.
But I finally found a shirt it went well with.
I didn't get a good back shot but I realized I wore the shirt backwards!
but it totally work and who am I to complain?
I love when that happens!

DIY: Feather Earrings

I made some feather earrings awhile ago but haven't warn them because the feathers hang to close to my neck and they are rather uncomforatable. So I decided to give it one more try only this time make the feathers not so close to the earrings themselves.

Supplies:
6 pieces of chain: 2 of 3 different lengths
2 large jump hooks
6 small jump hooks
2 earrings
6 crimps
6 feathers

Directions:
 1. Cut your chain into 3 different lengths and attach them to the jump hooks then to the earrings
2. Put crimps on all of your feathers
3. Hook the small jump rings to the crimps
4. Attach on feather to each chain
Done!

Making jewelry seems complicated, partly because of all of the supplies but once you start it is really simple!

What do you think? I love them! The chain adds a fun edgy twist!
