Bracelet Making!

Last weekend I got very crafty!

I am ok at crafting most things but I love making jewelry!

You can save yourself so much money if you make stuff yourself!

I want to share with you a really fun and easy bracelet I made!

Supplies:
Beads
Chain
3 Jump Hooks
2 Crimps
Clasp
Fish line
Pliers

Directions
Knot your fish line. I use fish line because it is hard to break, it is kind of hard to work with but your bracelet will last longer.

Crimp the one end of your fish line before you start beading it, this will make it a little easier.

Bead your bracelet. I only had a limited number of beads so I made the bracelet long enough to wrap around one and a half times.

Once you finish beading the fish line knot it and put the other crimp on.

Put a jump hook into each crimp.

Connect a few layers of chain to one of the jump hooks then connect another jump hook to the chain.

Connect the clasp to one jump hook.

Your finished!

I usually wrap my bracelet around and twist it with the chain and then hook it. I love my bracelet!! It is so fun and the chain and rock adds some sparkle :)

Weekend Recap: Madmen Style

This weekend was awesome!

Friday night we bottled our own wine, we have 31 bottles of homemade wine :) yay!!

We also went to a "Madmen" inspired party. The hubs and I haven't gotton bitten by the Madmen but....yet...but it was still a ton of fun!

Saturday was the best! I love Saturdays they are so relaxing. I finished The Hunger Games then bought the second one and began that. I also watched the trailer like 6 times, I can't wait to see it sometime this week!

I spent sometime on Sunday prepping blog posts for the upcoming weeks, that always makes me feel accomplished :)

How was your weekend?

Below are a few pics from the party we went to. Dressing up in that era is harder than I anticipated...and can you imagine doing your hair like that EvErYDay??

Some pics are via Facebook the rest are from my iphone so excuse the poor quality lol

Friday im In lOvE

Nothing really exciting happening here this week.

I am still trying to find time to finish some of the great posts I have lined up. Do you ever get that, where you just completly run out of time? I enjoy being busy but sometimes it stresses me out!

I am not going to lie, I have been putting off blogging for reading. The Hunger Games are so adicting!

Hoping to see the movie soon :)

This weekend we are going to have lots of fun. We are bottling our homemade wine tonight!! Then we are off to a Mad Men themed party. Sadly we don't watch the show....yet, but it is still fun to have an excuse to dress up!

Since I don't have anything really exciting for the end of the week I thought I would share with you some of the fashion blogs I am currently obsessing over. I love reading fashion blogs because they are inspiring! Some are high end fashion that I would never wear and others make their everyday clothes look freakin adorable!

Enjoy some link love!

My Drugstore Beauty Products

Well you guys were sooooo great for this mini series I did so I figured it was about time for me to do one!!

I am by no means an expert on this stuff. I am also not very brand loyal I like what's cheap.

But I realized the other day I do have a few products I love Love love!

Drugstore Beauty Products

1. I love Falsies Mascara! I used to have it then my friend convinced me to get lash blast which is good, but falsies is def my favorite!! It makes my eyelashes look huge!

2. I just recently got this eyeliner and I love it! I used to use pencil because I was scarred of liquid but this is a happy medium and it lasts all day! I have it in black and brown. Best part its only $3.00. If you haven't experienced the awesomeness of elf you need to because it is cheap and actually good.

3.Wet and Wild concealer is my favorite! I can't tell I am wearing it and it blends so well almost like lotion. I tried to buy more expensive stuff but it just was not the same. Wet and Wild is a lot like elf, super cheap and I really haven't been disappointed. Don't let the price make you think it is inferior.

4. Another Wet n Wild product. Mineral Bronzer. I wear this as blush, it gives a great shimmery glow. I prefer this to blush mostly because I get red cheeks already so I don't want to over accentuation that.

5.Apricot Face Scrub rocks! You can get a knock off St. Ives at most drugstores and it is cheaper than normal facewash. It also has beads it in which makes me feel like I really cleaned my face. It also helps with blackheads, and smells so good!

6.The Garnier Sleek and Shine leave in conditioner is my favorite hair product! I put it in after I shower and it helps keep my hair silky rather than frizzy. I deffinatly notice a difference from when I don't use this.

7.Last is Dove Norishing Dry Ends. I just bought this and it works like a charm. You just apply a little bit to your ends and it keeps them soft. I used to have to wet down my ends every time I went to the bathroom because they were so damaged and frizzy, I can't even believe how amazing this stuff is. I even made a point to tell the hubs and have him feel my ends because I was sooooo excited hahaha
